anchored student ministry

Anchored Student Ministry is the youth ministry of First Methodist Church. It exists to serve students in grades 7th – 12th.  Every youth is invited to be a part of our group.  The students meet at the re-decorated youth house, which is designed to make all who attend feel welcome. Anchored Student Ministry strives to provide a balance of fun, fellowship, and DISCIPLESHIP. We are part of a five-fold ministry: evangelism, fellowship, community outreach, liturgical drama/worship, and discipleship. There are an array of different things taking place within this ministry.  Please come join us as we work together to learn, grow, and worship our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Meal Sign up

We love to get people involved in the youth ministry here at First Methodist Church. One way to do that is through food. There is nothing that speaks to the heart of a young person more than food. If you would like to provide a meal for Sunday nights, please sign up for one of the Sundays in the link below. We are also in need of snacks that are served on Wednesday night small groups.

  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Anchored Student Ministry needs your help! All people created by God are called to live a life of servitude, which can be lived out by volunteering at First Methodist Church's Youth Ministry. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED in the following areas: Meal preparation & snacks, chaperones, guest speakers, and helpers of all sorts. If you have a desire to help by using your amazing gifts, let us know by going to the link below. Use the link below to get involved and love on some youth!

  • Calendar

We love to be an active youth group, so we have all kinds of wonderful things going on throughout the year. If you would like to be in the know of what we are doing, click the link below to view our calendar.

  • Remind 101

We have a Remind 101 text system that sends out reminders and announcements. There is also a Remind 101 app that helps the user to see messages in a more organized way, and you can even send direct messages to our youth director! If you would like to be in the know, install the Remind 101 app and sign up for our Remind 101 using the link below. You can also text @462cfbb to the number 81010.

About us:

Anchored Student Ministries is a place where students grades 7th – 12th are encouraged to take up the mantle of their faith in new and exciting ways. Our name is based on Hebrews 6:19 " We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain". We know that these years are crucial in the spiritual development of our students and offer them a place to grow in their faith through worship, study, community, and conversation.
